We know how important fast and safe delivery is to you, so we ensure that all our gifts are delivered in the shortest time possible!

Delivery Terms and Conditions

Historic Football Books will despatch the Products ordered by you to the address you give for delivery when you place your order. You may specify a delivery address which is different from your invoice address, if, for example, you would like Historic Football Books to deliver the Products directly to a friend, a relative, or to your place of work.

Unless you have cancelled your order prior to delivery, you will become the owner of the Products once they have been delivered to you. In any case, after delivery they will be held at your own risk and Historic Football Books will not be liable for any loss, damage or destruction to the Products except insofar as it arises from an inherent defect in any of the Products.

We operate on business/working days, Monday to Friday only, so weekends and bank holidays do not count in the production or delivery timescales quoted. Orders placed before 12pm midday begin production that day, while orders received after this time begin the following day. Orders placed after 12pm midday on a Friday afternoon or over a weekend will begin production on Monday. A day is defined as a working day – Monday to Friday. We do not include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays in the production and delivery timescales quoted.

Delivery P&P Charges

Standard UK Delivery by RM48:

This will be delivered by Royal Mail. Please allow 2-3 working days for delivery (in addition to the production timescales of 1- 5 days dependant on the type of product-see below), but is not guaranteed.

You’ll receive an email from us once your items are despatched. This is when your delivery timescale will begin.

Orders up to £15 p&p is £2.99
Orders up to £70 p&p is £3.99
Orders over £70 p&p is  FREE

Standard – International Delivery (Royal Mail) (non-tracked and non-signed for)

EU (+ Andorra, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino, Switzerland & Vatican City)

  • £14.00 for any product

(Delivery lead time from despatch 3-5 working days)

Rest of the World (ROW) – except Russia

We recommend that deliveries be sent via our Urgent  – International Service (tracked and signed for)

Urgent Delivery ROW

  • £36 for any product

Please note – Delivery times are subject to customs, which are beyond our control. We also cannot deliver to PO box addresses, if your order is via our urgent courier service.

(Delivery lead time from despatch 1-2 days for N America and 3-5 days ROW.)

Production + Delivery

All of our personalised gifts are made to order, so please allow time for the product to be made (produced) as well as the time for delivery. Below is the estimated production times,  please add this time to the postage lead time for an accurate idea of when you’ll receive your item(s).

Despatched within 24 hours: Chocolate Bars 

Despatched within 1-3 days: Newspaper Football Books, Engraved, Printed Items.

Despatched within 3-5 days: Ceramic and Printed Glass

Cancellation and Returns Policies
You have a legal right to cancel an order in respect of items which are not personalised or made to your specifications (“bespoke items”) and this is set out under “Cancellations” below.

Unless there has been an error on our part, or the item you purchased is defective, you have no right to cancel and we cannot accept returns on ‘Personalised’ or ‘bespoke’ items, whether by name or date, as these cannot be sold to anyone else. Our website is designed to give customers every opportunity to check all input/personalisation details and dates.

Cancellations
Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel a contract for an item which is not personalised/bespoke within 14 days without giving any reason.

The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods. In the case of a contract relating to multiple goods ordered in one order and delivered separately the cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good.

To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.

Defective Items
If you return an item (whether or not personalised/bespoke) because of an error on our part, or because it is defective, we will happily refund your costs in returning it to us. The item(s) must be returned in the condition in which you received it within 30 days of delivery. We cannot be held responsible for packages lost in transit, as you are responsible for returning the items to us, we recommend sending the packages by Recorded/Special Delivery.

Please contact a member of our customer services team who will be able to help you return the items and issue you with a Returns Authorisation Code. Our customer services team will also be able to advise on how to return the products to us.

Refunds

Refunds will be made within 14 days of a refund being agreed.
